Original paintings of birds in their habitats
Outlined against a dramatic sky and chaos of tree branches, jewel-like birds dart into the scene adding flashes of brilliance. Painting birds in nature, wings and feathers without giving every detail, gives the impression of movement and softness. Water loving birds like herons and cranes, red-winged and yellow-breasted blackbirds with their intense swashes of color and songbirds are some of my favorite birds to paint. They lend elegance and color to a landscape and make it sing.
